Traditional, wood-fired pottery workshop focuses on forming and firing clay pots, mugs, bowls, ladles, and related cooking accessories. Forming method demos include corrugated, and paddle and anvil techniques. 

Participants will learn about; 
- processing and blending native clays 
- making and using terra sigillata slips
- various tempers, which promote thermal shock resistances 
- nuances of cooking with clay pottery

Students pit fire pots and learn about various fuels and firing options and how to season fired cook pots.
