Learn how to survive with this introduction to fire class. This class will cover how to use a bow drill, a hand drill, flint and steel, and ferro rods as means of making fire. Need to keep warm, signal for rescue, cook your food, or purify water? Fire is a foundational skill vital to basic wilderness survival. Each of these methods represents a different era in fire making, from ancient to modern. You never know what you’ll have available in an emergency. All materials are provided for this class. If you have a fire kit or ferro rod and want to know how to use it, please bring it along. No experience necessary. This class will be relaxed and informative.
