Hand Drill Friction Fire Workshop - Sunday July 21, 8am-4pm

Fire is one of the most important parts of the human story. It's been with us for countless generations, and until recently it was not easy to create. I like to imagine that the old fire starters and fire keepers were seen as wizards or shamans, with mysterious power. You can learn too, with the right materials and some persistence. This is an introductory class on hand drill fire starting. You'll  make a kit, prepare tinder and a fire tipi, and get in depth instruction on how to bring a coal to life.
