Stone Bladed Knives And Arrows - Summer, Fall
Learn the art of hafting stone blades with pitch glue and sinew. Gary will demonstrate how to make and use pine pitch glue to build a stone bladed knife or spear using techniques that have been in use for many thousands of years. The instructor will furnish a stone blade, rawhide, and either antler or wood for the handle. For the second part of the class, Gary will teach you how to haft a stone arrowhead and fletch a wooden arrow shaft using pine pitch and sinew.
Students will take home either a stone bladed knife or spear, and a stone tipped arrow!
