Natural Non-toxic Pigments - Fall, Spring, Summer

$50.00

We will be using natural and non-toxic colorful pigments to draw/color natural objects from the land and color some of Barnes’s line drawings of plants, birds, dinosaurs, or other fun creations.

Mediums will be water, organic vegetable fat, Elmer’s glue or natural hide glue, and creating water colors from these pigments by using gum Arabic (gum from the Acacia trees) as the water color binder. We might play with making natural ink with rusty vinegar and tannic acids, which is one of the simplest forms of natural and safe ink.

These colors WILL stain clothing and your body so please be aware and please dress accordingly.

Material Fee: $10
