In this workshop we will use several different locally collected plant material to transfer colors onto our fabric. This technique creates not only prints of the leaves used, but also can create abstract and unique effects. Participants are encouraged to bring leaves and flowers from their neighborhood to experiment with. We will discuss a little bit about the process and impact of natural dyes, and each participant will be guided through the process of dyeing an organic cotton bandana for them to take home.
